“Hi, my name is Troy, and I’m a racing addict.”
I am an amateur racer and this is my racing blog. This website is for those who race cars, or want to race cars, but don’t have an unlimited budget. Once you get bitten by the racing bug, your life changes forever. You constantly think about making your car faster. You constantly look forward to your next race weekend. You constantly dream about taking the checkered flag. And you constantly wonder how you’re gonna pay for it all! So I developed this site to share ideas about Racing On The Cheap. Come on, join me for the ride…
Currently I’m racing my 1974 Datsun 710 (mostly in Vintage), and my 1993 Van Diemen Formula Continental (mostly with SCCA). I build, tune, tow, and race with the help of my buddies, and couldn’t do it without them. And I’m very lucky to be married to my wonderful wife who understands, and lives with, my car habit here in the Half Moon Bay area of California. Below are some pictures of my current race cars, past cars, and other cars I’ve bummed a race in. Here’s a link to my YouTube page for a few fun videos.
As well as building and racing my current cars, I also enjoy instructing with a couple of race clubs. And by day I work as a commercial pilot. Feel free to contact me at email@example.com.
